Access to this site is made available only to those who accept the terms of the following agreement.   All members are responsible for staying up to date with the most current version of this agreement.

Acceptable Use Policy 

1. This site is provided free of charge to all members of the Stargate fandom community for the posting of their stories, poems, and filks.  Donations to help offset the cost of maintaining this site are gratefully accepted at Paypal archivist@inkpress.org.

2. All stories, poems, and filks should be original pieces placed within the context of the Stargate world.  All stories should be appropriately labeled with the correct pairing (where appropriate), rating, and any warnings.  Crossover stories set in other fictional universes are allowed if properly labeled.  No story in whole or part may be 'borrowed' without the author's permission.  Plagiarism is a banning offense.

3. This site will not be used to promote personal agendas.  Personality conflicts should remain offsite and in private email.  Obvious 'hate' material will be removed.  Flames found in the review section will be removed and the offending person banned.  Negative criticism is not a flame.  Examples of what is acceptable or not acceptable as topics in fanfiction for this site:

1. a. Acceptable - Sam's black widow status, Jack's fondness for fishing, Daniel's leaping before he looks tendency, and Teal'c eyebrow, which seems to have a life of its own. 

2. b. Unacceptable - malicious fiction aimed at other fanfiction writers, the actors, the producers, or writers of the series.

4. RPS (Real Person Stories) - this site neither approves of nor allows content containing references to the actors themselves.  The private lives of the individuals involved in the creation of Stargate: SG-1 are private and should be respected.  Offending items will be removed and the author banned from posting in the future. 

5. Chan - Stories featuring underage characters in sexual situations.  In most areas/countries, sixteen is considered 'legal'.  No story on this site should contain any character in a sexual/romantic situation under the age of sixteen.  As this is an adult site made for the enjoyment of adults; there is no reason to find such material here.  Offending items will be removed and the author banned from posting in the future.

Rules and Regulations 

1. All members are responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide to this site and for maintaining current information.

2. All members are responsible for keeping up to date on the most current TOS and abiding by its rules.  Failure to abide by the rules will result in the member's material being removed from the site and permanent banning.

3. Every reasonable effort has been made to limit access to minors (those thirteen (13) and under) from this site.  We are registered with ICRA, make use of numerous Meta tags to activate parental control software, and disallow indexing and following by search engines.  Linking to this site is allowable, but must point to the front page: http://www.inkpress.org/.  Any attempt to bypass the front page shall constitute an implicit acceptance of the foregoing terms herein set forth.

4. By becoming a member of this website, you certify that you:

1. Are at least eighteen (18) years of age.

2. Have the legal right to possess adult material in your community

3. Have the legal right to use the computer in which you access this material.

4. Do not find adult material to be offensive, or by acting in an adult manner - refuse to access those stories, poems, or filks that may go against your religion/morals/community standards.

5. Understand the standards and laws of your community and are solely responsible for your actions.  Should you decide to sue this site in violation of this TOS, you will be responsible for all court costs and may be in violation of local and/or federal laws and responsible for any costs incurred.

6. Will release and discharge the providers, owners, and creators of this site from any and all liability that might arise.

7. Will only download items from this site for your personal enjoyment.  Any use of material from this site for any other purpose - up to and including using the material for promotional purposes, compiling material in an anthology for monetary gain, or posting material to other sites without permission of the contributors of this site - is strictly FORBIDDEN.  Offenders will be permanently banned from the site.

5. Plagiarism - the act of using another's work and claiming it as your own.  An act of plagiarism may involve as little as a paragraph or as much as an entire story.  Authors work extremely hard on developing stories and deserve proper recognition for it.  Using a story in part or whole while offering recognition without the fanfiction author's permission is still plagiarism.  Ideas, old or new, are not considered plagiarism.  Authors found plagiarizing works will be permanently banned from the site.

Copyright Policy

This site is not sponsored, approved or authorized by any of the copyright holders (Bridge Studios, Gekko, Glassner/Wright, Showtime, SciFi, MGM or any other individual/corporation with claims to the Stargate name/franchise). This site is non-profit, promoting and documenting elements of fanfiction in media during the 20th century. All material on this site is expressed as a continuation of thought covering pop culture associated with fanfiction and is not intended as an infringement of any kind. 

Some illustrations and works are the creation of others that have appeared in other publications/venues.  Every effort is made to respect privacy and intellectual rights, and in obtaining permission for inclusion into this site.  Their inclusion on this site does not alleviate the owner of any rights to said pieces.

Fanfiction is the act of creating a story set in a world established by others.  It may be based upon a television series, movie, book, or myth.  The characters used may or may not already be established in the universe the author is writing in.  The story itself is merely the author's extension of the universe already created or changed to fit the author's perception of events.  Nothing herein should be taken as the original creators of the universe's ideals, morals, or standards, but rather the fanfiction author's perception of that universe.

This site is in no way related to, authorized by, or promoted by any creator of the Stargate Universe.  As such, this site can in no way act on behalf of the owners of Stargate.  All correspondence should be sent to MGM Studios for consideration.  You can contact MGM here:  http://www.mgm.com.

Privacy Policy

Use of personal information by this website -

1. Personal information is information about you - your name, website, age, or email address - not otherwise publicly available.

2. Personal information collected when you register with this site is only made available as a means for readers to contact authors and other members when commenting on a story, poem, or filk. 

3. Personal information is neither collected nor given to any company who requests it from this site.  Only members and visitors to this site are able to access this information.  

4. This site does not track its visitors other than to identify which pages are being accessed.  Our server logs specify which type of browser is being used, operating system, IP addresses, and the page requested.   This information is used to upgrade our website and to serve our members as best as possible.

5. You will never receive correspondence from the owners of this site that does not directly relate to the Terms of Service or your material. 

6. Exceptions are made for subpoenas, court orders, or the legal process.

Cookies

1. This site uses cookies set for the duration of your visit.  Once the browser is closed, you must sign in again to access the site.  

2. We do not use cookies in any way to violate our members' privacy.

Children

1. This site is registered with ICRA (Internet Content Rating Association) and is classified as an adult site due to the availability of some graphic material.  This site does not pander to those younger than eighteen and every effort is made to deny access to them.

2. Parents are responsible for installing and using filtering software, which would deny them access to material considered 'adult in nature'.  We have, to the best of our knowledge, installed the meta tags read by Netscape, Internet Explorer, and various other parental control programs such as NetNanny so that parents can filter out any material they deem inappropriate for their child.  These actions are useless unless parents use the filtering software.  We have done our part, please do yours.
